Welcome to the website for the 2015 Apterous ATP Tour.

The 2015 Apterous ATP Tour is a series of 65 tournaments which will exactly follow the calendar for the real ATP Tour which is a series of tennis events comprising the 4 Grand Slam tournaments, 9 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 events, 13 ATP World Tour 500 series events and 39 ATP World Tour 250 series events.

Players will accumulate ranking points throughout the year and the 16 players with the most ranking points at the end of the season in November will be split into two groups of 8 where they'll play in a round-robin style set of play-offs. The top 4 from each of those groups will then play in the World Tour Finals in a straight knockout until we find our ultimate champion.

As last year, players will not be required to play in every single tournament - just dip in and out of it when it suits you.

The ranking points and format for each tournament are listed on the Calendar of Events page and you'll notice that some tournaments have higher ranking points than others - so the winner of a Grand Slam event will win 2000pts, the winner of an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event will win 1000pts, the winner of an ATP World Tour 500 series event will win 500pts and the winner of an ATP World Tour 250 series event will win 250pts.

The ranking points system is a way of rewarding players of all standards - all players will win some ranking points regardless as long as they participate in that particular event - just entering one of the smallest events and losing in the round of 32 will win you 10pts for example. So you could technically end up in the top 16 at the end of the year without winning a single match - hopefully most people will win some though!

As in 2014, each tournament will be seeded based on your performance in the corresponding tournament last season - so for example if you won the Australian Open in 2014, this year you'll be seeded no.1, the runner-up from 2014 would be seeded no.2 and so on. If a player didn't play in the corresponding tournament last year, they'll be unseeded.

Most (but not all) variants are covered including some foreign language tournaments so take a look at the calendar and decide which events take your fancy. For the 3 top tiers of events it will be standard rules - the less popular formats will only be reserved for the 39 ATP World Tour 250 series events.

Some weeks are busier than others - but there will only be a maximum of 3 tournaments per week. Where there are 3 tournaments in a week these will be played on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday of that week. Where there are 2 tournaments in a week these will be played on Friday and Sunday of that week. Where there is 1 tournament in a week this will be played on Sunday of that week. Some weeks will have no tournaments - again, check the calendar.

I'll be keeping an up to date rankings list as we go so you can check your position as the season unfolds so I wish you all good luck and hope to see you in Brisbane, Australia for the first tournament of the season on Wednesday 7th January 2015!
